Dr. Saijuddin Shaikh

Dr. Saijuddin Shaikh is a faculty Associate in the Department of International Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with over 15 years of professional experience in the area of public health nutrition. He is currently leading a follow-up study of adolescent growth and the impact of a mobile health system to support healthy pregnancy and improve newborn survival. Dr. Shaikh has provided technical support to other JiVitA research projects, including studies to evaluate effects of complementary food supplementation on early childhood growth, validate portable dark adaptometry, reveal determinants of immunologic persistence of hepatitis E virus antibodies, and to explore the incidence and risk factors of Autism Spectrum Disorders in a large cohort of children in Bangladesh.
